The structure of Coconut coir is generally fibrous, coarse and light weight. Paired with other ingredients as mentioned, the mix allows plants sufficient aeration for their roots to penetrate through the mix during its growth.
Perlite and Shamrock Bio-Char increases the porosity of the potting mix, ensuring sufficient drainage to avoid water collection and root rot.
Our Potting Mix contains coconut coir which is a popular and clean alternative to planting with soil and also Shamrock Bio-Char which helps to guard your planting medium against bad bacteria, allowing the overall potting mix to be resilient to bacterial, fungal and pathogen growth.
